I love travelling and experiencing new places. In my office at home, I have a world map with thread showing trips I’ve been on, and I get a kick out of seeing it fill out over time.
I thought it’d be fun to build an interactive version, allowing me to plot destinations more accurately, and capture details that don’t scale well - when a country is only a few cm across, you only have so much resolution to play with.
